Hey everyone, I know I’ve been lagging and been busy and haven’t had the time to come by.  This morning, I went to do some laundry and while waiting I took a magazine off the shelf and started reading.  I believe it was “Ladies Journal” or something, I forgot but I did find some exerpts that gave positive thoughts for my day.  The following are by the author of “Happy for No Reason,”  Marci Shimoff.  I have yet to read this book.  It just sounds so positive and uplifting, something I truly need as inspiration.

As you all know, I’ve been trying to search for a good flat iron lately and today I hope I’ve found what I’ve been looking for.  I was kind of tired of searching for a good flat iron and thought maybe I’d just go out and get me a Chi.  Well, I decided to go out to JCPenny today and check out their flat irons since I had a 15% coupon.  Well, they actually sell the hair tools at the salon area.  While I was there, they did have the Chi ofcourse.  I ask the girl if she would let me look at one up close and hold it to see how it was like and she did let me take a look at one.  It is quite similar or almost like Sally’s GVP straightener.  I know I’ve heard and read reviews on how the Chi doesn’t have temperature controls and that kinda made me decide on looking at other ones on the shelf.  The girl there told me to check out Paul Mitchell’s Protools Express Ion Smooth 1.25 straightener.  I really liked it and how it gripped my hair.  It’s a little bit over 1″ but it’s ok. Now this styling tool does have temperature controls.  That’s a wonderful thing.  It heats up to 400 degrees.  Read the rest of this entry »

Hi all,  sorry it’s been awhile and I have not been updating this site much.   It’s been quite busy lately for me with work and my children.  Anyhow, I am still on the search for a nice comparable straightener to the “Chi.”  I know this one time I went to Regis hair salon and they used it on my hair.  I really liked how smooth it was and all but didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it.  So I was on the hunt for a generic “Chi” perhaps. 

My current hair straightener that I have is the Remington Wet/Dry Ceramic straightener.  I really like it because it gives my hair a nice grip and does the job but because the plates are metal like, I feel like my hair is being fried each time I use it so I want something that works similar yet is more milder to my hair.
